Cab Exterior Design
The FM resembles its larger siblings, yet it is just as flexible and agile.
The cab’s new design impresses with vertical A-pillars, more interior space, large windows, and a low door line. The Volvo FM has a more rounded profile, and the gaps between the upper and lower front sections are minimized for improved aerodynamics and efficiency.
Further evidence of the truck’s evolution is the headlight design, which highlights the Volvo FM’s legendary profile. The headlights’ striking lines accentuate the cab’s shape and extend along the sides. Even when stationary, it’s clear that this truck is efficient both at high speeds and when navigating busy environments.

The first thing you’ll likely notice is that the cab is spacious and bright. The larger roof hatch lets in more light from above, making it feel especially roomy. From the driver’s seat, you’ll find everything right where you expect it to be.
Thanks to the adjustable steering column, the position of the steering wheel can be customized, and your hand rests naturally on the I-Shift gear lever.
The fully digital instrument cluster offers new ways to adapt your work environment to any situation and your needs. The additional 9-inch display allows you to control truck functions—such as up to eight cameras and apps. You also have the axles and differentials under control with ease. You are in the command center of your mobile office. which is integrated into the seat. The view from the truck’s driver’s seat is virtually unbeatable: the door line is low, the windows are large, and every angle of the cab is designed so that you have everything in view.
